Torbole, June 27, 2026 \u2013 Making the most of Lake Garda’s trademark conditions, with a solid Ora breeze filling in throughout the afternoon, the Race Committee of the third event of the 2026 J\/70 Cup completed another three races, bringing the total to six and allowing the discard to come into play.<\/p>\n
The biggest winner of the day was gSpot (1-1-8), helmed by Matteo Marenghi Vaselli, who claimed victory in the first two races of the day and, in the process, secured the Garmin Quatix 8 awarded to the winner of the Garmin Cup. The Italian team also moved into the overall lead, overtaking overnight leader Paint It Black (7-15-6) of Germany’s Michael Grau, who was unable to match the pace shown on the opening day.<\/p>\n
Now lying second overall, Grau’s team holds just a two-point advantage over Callisto (3-11-3), helmed by American William Felder, while France’s Euro-Voiles (5-4-11), owned by Denis Infante, has climbed into fourth place. Already second overall and top Corinthian team at Lerici, the French crew was able to discard yesterday’s twenty-fifth-place finish and has provisionally confirmed itself as the leading Corinthian entry.<\/p>\n
Dropping from third to fifth overall is White Hawk (4-4-12) of Gianfranco No\u00e8, which nevertheless remains the benchmark in the OnePro category.<\/p>\n
Seventh overall is the current leader of the 2026 J\/70 Cup standings, J-Curve of Mauro Roversi, who bounced back well after a difficult opening day.<\/p>\n
The third event of the 2026 J\/70 Cup will conclude tomorrow with the final two races of the series.<\/p>\n
