Lerici – A slow day in Lerici, where Day 2 of the second leg of the 2026 J/70 Cup ended with no races due to a total lack of wind. PRO Riccardo Incerti’s attempts to complete at least one race were in vain: a sudden shift in the breeze, fading and unstable, caused the only race that had begun to be canceled.
The standings determined by yesterday’s four races thus remain unchanged. Given today’s lack of races, the Garmin Cup goes to Andrey Pushkin’s Tenzor Team, first in the provisional standings ahead of the French team Euro-Voiles, who, led by Louis Berbet, are also the top Corinthian team.
Completing the top five are Mauro Roversi’s J-Curve, Harry Twomey’s Wildcard, and Gianfranco Noè’s White Hawk. The Corinthian team is second, tied for points with Ali Hall’s Calypso.
The second leg of the 2026 J/70 Cup, organized by Circolo della Vela Erix in collaboration with the J/70 Italian Class, concludes tomorrow, when a maximum of three races can be held.
This evening, crews and staff will be present at the Crew Party hosted by the club, chaired by Carlo Stefanini, followed by a tasting of Gin Vento, a longtime partner of the J/70 Italian Class.
The J/70 Italian Class, which uses the Vakaros RaceSense system to manage its starts, is supported by Lincoln International, Garmin, VelaMania, North Sails Collection, UtilGraph, Gottifredi Maffioli, and Gin Vento.
